Provenance

Where the data comes from

The catalogue favors traceability over volume. Every causal claim requires a source and an evidence grade.

01

Curated catalogue

v1 does not import X-Wines. Wines were selected from primary producer and denomination sources.

02

Boundaries can change

Every geometry declares its type and capture date. An indicative point is never presented as an official polygon.

03

Evidence without cosmetics

Well established, plausible, contested, and folklore are visible states, not hidden footnotes.

04

Editorial posture

There are no sales, ads, sponsorships, accounts, or producer referrals. The age gate is prudential and does not replace Brazilian legal review.

05

TTB public records

Label registrations for curated producers come from the US TTB Public COLA Registry, public CC0 data obtained via the official export. We import textual data only — never label images, whose rights remain with the brand owners.

06

Sources

The seed records URL, publisher, type, and access date. Producer sources support wines; regulatory documents and research support place and causality.
